Don't visit this place, GIACOMO, THE WORST HOST Yesterday at the New Year's party the bar manager (I'm not even sure about that) in addition to conditioning the reservation on a minimum consumption of a thousand Euros and payment in advance of the same, when I left I requested that he return a couple of bottles of wine that I ordered from the staff guarding the door of the bar when I arrived, he became arrogant, yelling at me, pushing me (probably because of the extra drinks he consumed during his work) telling me that he had nothing, that the person to whom I gave it no longer I was there and I could do whatever I wanted, I could comment on FB or Instagram whatever I wanted.
It is a shame that the employees of this hotel treat a client like this without caring about anything, I will take care of telling everyone I know about my bad experience and I will visit Giacomo today in front of the other person as I was right
This recommendation is for the spa.
90 mins exclusive access including massage, steam room, rainfall shower, & epic jacuzzi / sauna? This was excellent, I thoroughly recommend booking for 2 & having a glorious relaxation.
This is as good as it gets in Venice. Stylish and distinctive (antiques galore, dark red theme, Chinese/oriental features), but not snooty. Family run hotel, not a chain. Calm, friendly and efficient service.
The hotel was one of my favorite hotels of all of the hotels that stayed in during these 12 days trip through Europe. I felt so...so...I am not sure that I can even put it into words.
The staff was chef's kiss. The breakfast buffet I can say enough about it. The chef actually makes the butter from scratch. The marmalades from scratch. Like this place is so divine!
The bathroom toiletries; OMG. Smells so good! I have literally been slowly using the body oil because I don't want to run out. I genuinely cannot say enough about this place.
And the story behind the dad that owned it and the son taking over. I love how the decor of the hotel is primarily made up of all of his dad's collectibles throughout his years.
Excellent experience here. The location is fantastic and walking distance to St Mark's square. We loved that the boat taxi dropped us off right at their dock which made for convenient transfers. The room and bathroom were spacious, they told us they upgraded us to one of their newly renovated rooms and had a little welcome note for us with fruit upon arrival. It was lovely to open our window and look down at one of the Venice canals. The breakfast here was an impressive buffet spread. Beyond hospitality, the concierge arranged a free boat taxi to the island of Murano and tour of the Glass Making warehouse and gift shop. The boat then took us to the colorful Island of Burano following, we made sure to tip our boat taxi both ways. We enjoyed this day so much and Hotel Metropole Venezia made our 2 days in Venice extremely comfortable and memorable.
This was the first hotel we stayed at upon starting our vacation in Venice and it truly set our expectations very high! Juliano and his staff were so professional and accommodating, they provided us with recommendations for Murano & Burano Island excursions straight from the hotel. Walking maps of Venice as well as recommendations for restaurants and shopping. The hotel is beautiful and ornate, going down for breakfast each morning in the courtyard was delightful! The fresh fruit and pastries were delicious! Beds were soft, pillows were comfortable, robes were provided. This hotel is right on the water in the middle of everything, a short walk in either direction and there's plenty of places for coffee, drinks, lunch and dinner. The staff was truly the best, so accommodating and welcoming each time you enter or exit, quick to help you out in anyway. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a full exquisite experience in Venice, when you get there please ask for Juliano, he handles all guest services and is warm and professional!
Excellent location and service. Has its own canal launch. Romantic feel to the hotel with 1920s glamour. Fabulous facilities and atmosphere.
Loved it. Old school charm at its best. Opted for a room overlooking the garden which is quieter than facing the lagoon or the canal.
